How Not To End A Gig

I want to thank all my good friends on this forum for the many words of kindness and concern. I am truly overwhelmed.
I’ve been through many tests and specialists in the past weeks. I received a green light last week to start playing again, but with some restrictions, which I can easily handle. There are more visits and tests in the near future, but I think they may have found a solution, and I am feeling great. In the process, I have totally reduced my stress to near zero. Quite an achievement for me.

Again…many thanks to all of you! I plan to ease back into the forum discussions soon…especially if those discussions are about Hammonds and Amp Sims!

Much love to all of you

Time flies Corky - it’s been almost a month since “How Not To End A Gig” - how is it going now? You seemed a little “too” busy just before the above mentioned gig. Hope you’re pacing things.

Still going to Dr appointments and wearing a heart monitor. BUT, I played two gigs last weekend. One of which, was the venue I didn’t end well. The staff there were really nice to me, and were glad to see I was alive, as they had no idea what happened to me after the ambulance left. It looks like my blood pressure may have bottomed out. So far, all my tests are coming back with nothing wrong. The heart monitor is just a safe guard in case there is some little tick they are missing.
When I lost a lot of weight last December with COVID, my blood pressure became too strong for my reduced size. I was averaging 87/51 BP. Apparently, I finally bottomed out. At least, that is the theory of my GP, and two Cardiologists. I am on a lighter medicine now, and feeling good, but pacing myself.
Thanks for asking!

Good to hear that you are back in action.

Why not plug the heart monitor into Cantabile to see what sounds it gives you!

oh I hope you feel well

Time to resume the thread, a modified version named how not to start the gig!

Yeah, an unfortunate accident while assembling the rig. The SL88 masterkeyb fell off from its stand on my left hand. X-ray shows two “slightly” broken fingers.
Trying to avoid the complete fall of the keyboard, the right hand was also hit, even nothing serious. Anyway, rotation of the wrist will be damn painful next few days.
At least 30 days away from keyboards and some rehab, ER doctor said. :rage:

Get well soon - wish you all the best.

OUCH - that looks nasty :hushed:

Best wishes for a good recovery - and for dealing with the “no-keyboard” time with not too dramatic withdrawal symptoms…

All the best!
