Trying to do this in cantabile 2

hi, i want to do the state changing of cantabile 3 that shows in 4:14 but in cantabile 2… basically is using one instance of kontakt for load a lot of patches

tried the sub sessions but i can’t do it

Wow, cantabile 2… was so long ago so I’m not really sure to be correct but as far as I remember this can be achieved in MIDI Routing tables when using sub sessions.

The problem is the attributes of a routing table cannot be changed from subsession to subsession. The only parameter stored inside a subsession is the enable/disable function.

If I reflect on the example showed in the video the way to go would be:

  1. Create the 2 instruments inside kontakt and map them to MIDI channels 1 resp. 2 inside kontakt (same as in the video)
  2. Create 2 MIDI routing tables with the same source but with target MIDI channel 1 for the first and channel 2 for the second one.
  3. Enable the first table and disable the second one and store this setting to one subsession.
  4. Enable the second table and disable the first one and store it to another subsession.

Now you hopefully get the desired behaviour.
