My Gig rig is my Montage 7, Kronos X 61, Roland FC300 MIDI foot controller and a small gig rack with PC for Cantabile, USB Audio Interface, USB DMX Interface, USB MIDI Interface, Line Mixer and Nord G2 Engine (not used much theses days but it is light and fills a 1U gap!). So it is always pretty much setup in my studio as I gig, albeit spread about a little as you can see below.
My main gigging keyboards and FC300 are on the right of shot. The stuff in the centre I do not gig.
The gig rack is the 4U unit on top of the main rack in the left of this picture. The touch monitor that I use for the Cantabile UI can be see to the left of the racks.
Anyone in Warsaw (PL) soon? If so, we plan to play three gigs soon, feel free to come!
on 9 March in “Hydrozagadka” club together with Berlin-based post-punk band Bleib Modern
on 7 and 8 April in “Proxima” club, opening for the gothic rock legends The Mission (OMG!)
We just did a “virtual” show…
In these days of corona virus we are locked at home.
Our usual spring concert for benefit had to be canceled.
But music cannot be wiped out, so we tried to do something else.
Our guitar player and music director recorded a “ghost track” with a video, using a click.
He sent the video to all of musicians using a WhatsApp group.
Everyone (more or less 20 guys) sent a video on my email using WeTransfer.
Of course no one had a DAW to work, so everyone used smartphones to record (!).
From each video I extracted audio tracks trying to enhance audio details.
I mixed and produced audio tracks using Reaper, another guy did the video editing.
While working we had news abut one of us, who played with us in some jams in our city, who just died for the virus. We put Duilio’s name in front of the video, this is for him.
Here is the YouTube link.
Furio…love that song, but enjoyed the hell out of this version. So sorry to hear about Duilio’s passing. I fully expect a lot of new productions coming out as the days linger on. Musicians will always find a way to work, no matter the situation or distance. Stellar work!!!
Geez all I ever get is, “was there an organ on there? I thought it was a French Horn or something. Don’t you play French Horn?” Me: “No, I play sax.” Them: “Oh, I thought it was some kind of horn. Next time don’t make the music so loud. I couldn’t hear the singer.”
Cool, thanks! Yeah, we got hit by tornadoes and the studio internet has been out since Sunday. So I had to get the links, bring them home and email them back to Steve so he could get them out via phone lol
