Cantabile Webinars - Registration Links to Monday and Wednesday Zoom meetings

Once you are registered, I will email the Zoom meeting links and video replays to you.

Webinar 10, Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 12:30 PM EST

We continue the deep-dive begun Monday into Cantabile Performer’s Bindings, and discuss the many MIDI transformations possible in Performer along the way.

Because we are using Zoom via my NewZenler school, we need everyone to register and then check their email for the link. (That’s how we’ll get over 40 minutes…)

See you there - I hope everything works!!!

Terry

Hey Terry, hope it goes well. I won’t be able to attend live, but will it be available to view later?

Lee,

Yes, I am recording it on a separate computer via OBS and a capture card, so I’ll be uploading the video afterward.

Sorry I got the link up so late - I am new to this and didn’t realize I could have scheduled days in advance. I’ll do that for Wednesday’s webinar.

Terry

Will the recording be on your YouTube channel?

Yes, on the main one. I’ll be sharing the link soon. Initially, I’m keeping the Cantabile webinar recordings “unlisted”, so my subscribers aren’t pestered by notifications of these. But I’ll make them public afterward in a playlist, so they appear in search results. I’ll start a separate thread having just the recordings in it.

Terry

That’s great Terry! Thanks again for taking on this tremendous task!
I’ve been wanting to do some instructional stuff on YT for years. Just never had time to jump all the hurdles involved. Maybe someday.

I love using Zoom for these!!!
Lets us all meet and interact.

Terry

Never used Zoom, so I guess I will come out of the dark ages now.

Yes…will be good to interact with all us misfits.

OBS is awesome.

The Zoom meeting with OBS was impressive. It was like we were in front of Terry’s computer. Two of us got on the call early and it didn’t auto start for us - it just said waiting for presenter. At the 10 minute mark I realized something wasn’t right and just refreshed my browser and went right into the meeting. Terry is going to start the meeting a little early to help with that issue.

Yes, I’m going to actually “start” the meeting half an hour early so people can get right in. This makes me think that I’d better set the time duration total to a half hour longer so we don’t get cut off.

Although I DO plan a bit ahead so I have things to talk about, when there are only a few people in attendance it makes sense to have you all field questions to me at any time rather than sticking to a rigid schedule of “curriculum”, so shout out if you have any questions or things to add. I believe I can give attendees the ability to share their own screens it you get an inspiration.

Upcoming Monday, Feb. 15th at 12:30 EST is a full tour of my streaming setup. I hope to encourage many more people to perform, do music lessons, and engage in scoring and collaborative composing sessions using Cantable’s powerful features. I will be showing how to integrate Cantabile with Voicemeeter, your ASIO audio interface, OBS, YouTube live streaming and Zoom.

Put this one in your calendar - this set of tools allows piping the sound of your Cantabile system across the internet with high fidelity during a Zoom (or other web meeting) across the internet.

Cantabile Solo is in the spotlight for Monday’s webinar upcoming on March 1st at 12:30 PM EST.

This one will focus on the capabilities of Cantabile Solo in its Object-oriented Bindings …and in its Recording features.

  • Using the recording features of Cantabile to capture multi-track audio recordings of your performances.
  • Extracting recorded instruments to individual stems via Audacity.
  • Capture all MIDI events coming into Cantabile
  • Setting up automated recording so you never miss an opportunity or inspiration!

The cool thing about the live sessions has been where we all puzzle through figuring out something together, as all the mics are open so it is like a conversation we’re having in our studios.

The cool thing about the replays is that I’ve edited out the dismal failures!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve just extended the series out to another ten episodes of Zoom events. If you have an existing email with the link to the session in it, Doug just discovered that all one needs to do is increment the webinar number to the desired/current one and that takes you into the latest webinar, bypassing the need to re-register again for every one of them.
