Adding insert EFX on a rack?

I did a search for this topic, but nothing much came up…is it possible to add an insert effect on a rack, already loaded with a VST?

In iOS apps like Camelot and AUM, this is very simple, however I cannot see any “simple” insert-into-path dialogue.

  1. Load an effect plug-in into the rack.
  2. Create a routing from the output of the existing VST plugin to the input of the effect plugin.
  3. Create a routing from the output of the effect plug-in to the Rack output.
  4. Disable the original routing from the existing VST plug-in to the output.
