And…announcing Windows 11. It doesn’t fit together but somehow it works…for some anyway.
Just to add another one to the list, VPS Avenger UI is completely blank, but only on Windows 10. On my Windows 7 machine it is fine.
Hey Guys,
There’s light at the end of the tunnel!
After really diving into this for a couple of days, things are starting to become clear. Pretty sure I’ve got a idea of what’s going on now and hope to have fixes soon. Stay tuned.
Brad
I’ve just uploaded build 3537 which I’m hoping resolves these issues. This should be considered a very experimental build because I’ve had to rework quite a few things.

At the very least the non-per-window resolution modes now work more like they did in 32xx which should provide a more robust fall back.
It seems to be working well here but there’s so many different combinations of modes, scaling, Windows, plugins, monitor arrangements etc… that it’s difficult to test every combination. Please report any problems (including screen shots where relevant).

I have a gig tomorrow (Saturday) evening. Is it experimental enough that you would recommend I wait until Sunday to try it out?
Yeah, probably best to be safe
(but… there’s no file format changes so you could install it to test and then roll back if you wanted to).
You are very brave my friend.
I NEVER update anything before a gig. Been there, done that. It wasn’t pretty. Even though there is no format update, you never know what other little bug will pop up. I personally wouldn’t want to roll back to earlier version during gig. But, if you do…good luck. I would be sitting on pins and needles all night.

I have the same situation. But I’ll be sure to test this early next week.
Have a good show! I plan to.
No gig (but practice). Going to go test this right now.
Well, it looks like most of you guys are playing to 1000+ people… I imagine a hardware issue would be much more than simply embarrassing.
I’m usually playing to 50 to 100 at a bar. Biggest stuff I do these days is 300 to 500 a couple times a year.
Well, I didn’t have the problems some did. The biggest symptom I had was the controller customized buttons were HUGE.

I cycled through our working set list and sounds are as expected. As far as I can tell, everything is working great.
Actually. I am lucky enough to be playing 2 gigs in the next few weeks that will involve 1000+ people, but on those gigs, most of the hardware is supplied. But those gigs are only occasional. Tonight I will be playing in small bar that will hold 125 people, but it is doubtful that 75 will show up. On those gigs, hardware will matter as well as software. I have a looming update on my digital mixer, but I will not update it until after the weekend gigs. I had that experience once, and don’t intend to repeat it. Naturally a larger gig would be a larger embarrassment, but even a glitch in front of 20 people is still pretty bad. Some of my band mates absolutely despise all my digital equipment, and if I have one small fail (usually my stupid mistakes) it all is blamed on my laptop for weeks on end. I have better things to do on breaks than correct problems, such as:

“I try and be responsible. I only drink one glass of beer before I play a show.”
Despite having a gig tomorrow night, I decided to go ahead and install this latest build. As Brad said, I can always revert to an earlier build. It seems to be working great!
You are a steely-eyed missile man
I’m one of those where my “gig” is in a bar with maybe 100 people because that’s all this place will hold, although we always have a great time at this place. And we do this as a hobby; it’s not our real jobs. So, the stress level is pretty low.
I pretty much never have issues out of my software rig (and it’s even better now in its current config with a solid laptop and Cantabile) but you can garan-dang-tee that there will be one per year and it WILL be at the highest profile, highest attended show.
Yes, as far as I can tell, this problem with the Arturia plugins was fixed, regardless of the scaling settings I chose.
Great, thanks. I feel like I’m finally starting to get on top of all these plugin issues.
