Yamaha USB audio driver

I have a Yamaha MOXF connected to my Cantabile laptop (Surface Pro 4) via USB. The MIDI I/O works perfectly, but when I select the Yamaha audio driver it opens and closes an install window several times, and then hangs on 0% for eternity. When I hit cancel the window will not close, and I have to exit Cantabile and manually close the install task, which is still labeled Cantabile in the Task Manager.

I’ve rebooted the PC and verified that the Yamaha USB audio driver is working in windows. Not sure what to do from here, as I need my VSTi’s to play through the Yamaha. The TC-Helicon Perform VK ASIO driver works fine in C3, but I need my mic and instrument separate in the band mix.

So the driver is already installed, then you select it in Cantabile and the install widow opens again, and tries to install??

Yes, exactly. And then the install window won’t EVER close.

Sounds like a problem with the audio driver. What happens if you select it as the asio driver in another DAW - same thing, or is this specific to Cantabile.

Also, does this happen immediately upon selecting it in Options or only after closing options when the audio engine re-starts?

Random guess, but try this too - go to Options -> Diagnostics and turn on “Ignore ASIO Reset Requests”.

I uninstalled the driver and installed the previous version. It is now working for some reason.
