Wrong notes reported in UI [solved]

I’m sure Cantabile is right and I’m just going crazy. However, what I think I’m seeing is that on my controller keyboard, if I hit A0 (bottom note on the keyboard), Cantabile shows it as A1, both in the MIDI monitor, and if I “learn” a zone range from it. Similarly, all other notes are an octave too high. However the notes I hear are correct, so it’s as if Cantabile is just displaying note names an octave out. I have no transposing going on in my routes.

Middle C comes up on the on-screen keyboard as the middle, shaded note as I’d expect, yet the MIDI monitor thinks it’s C5.

I triple-check that my master keyboard isn’t transposed (that would also make the notes sound wrong). Also I ran MIDI-OX and that displays the notes I’d expect - bottom note comes up as A0, not A1.

So it looks like Cantabile is displaying notes wrong. Am I going mad?

Ok I see what’s happening. I’ve just noticed the “Display Middle-C As” option, which I’ve never seen before, and it’s set to C5 for some reason. What an odd option! So yes, I was going crazy…
