I was investigating latency using LatencyMon and noticed that I was getting the occasional ‘spikes’ with the ‘ISR routine execution time’. LatencyMon indicated that the process wfd01000.sys reported it. I did a search for this and found that a few gamers recommended that disabling the ‘High pecision event timer’ might help (Device Manager → System devices → High precision event timer). I disabled this out of curiosity an I THINK!!! it might have helped. I was wondering if anyone else had looked into this or if anyone knows more about it. To me it seems a little counter intuitive to disable this would help.
