Volume regolation in your NEW song

hi guys. i’m curious about how you set volume when you’re creating a new song.
do you begin with lowering “gain fader” of cantabile rack? or you move individual gain fader of single instrument? or, you set all inside plugin volume and you never touch cantabile’s gain faders?

what’s the philosophy of your settings?
