I am considering Cantabile to replace my Kronos workstation. One question about a feature I cannot seem to find: is there a way in Cantabile to do the equivalent of Kronos velocity zones? That is: have some programs sound and others not, depending on how hard I hit the keys? If it can be done, can someone point me to a post or video that would explain how to do this?
This is actually very easy to do. Simply open the Control portion of the input route you want to control. It says “Omni” by default. Then open the Velocity Curve section. In there you can set the minimum and maximum input levels that will be sent through. You can also scale that input ramp to an output ramp, and curve it as well.
