Using the web UI in a live setting

Hey Cantabile hive mind.

I’ve just built a new rack for a Cantabile rig. For the first time, I’m thinking about using the Web UI on a tablet. However, is there a way to do this if the computer and tablet aren’t on a WiFi network? I’m thinking probably not as I’m assuming I need IP addresses to make it all work?

Or is there a way I haven’t thought about?

Depending on the wireless chipset your PC has it could run its own network. Been a while since I’ve had to do it, but this seems to be a good guide Make your Windows laptop work as a Wi-Fi access point

I personally have a rack with a dedicated wireless router in it (amongst other things).

I was thinking of putting a router in the rack but ran out of room…
