Using C4 Media Player to impersonate an input

Another step in the “going totally VST” for me is getting the levels right across splits, layers, and songs.

Since I only have two hands, I was thinking of creating sequences for each of the songs, then play them back so I could use both hands to adjust volumes, pans, effects, etc. I’m thinking this could improve the flow…

Ideally I could import the MIDI into C4, but when I do I have to assign the output to the plug in, not “patch” it in as if it was the actual keyboard input.

Is there an easy way to “loop back” the Media Player output to the Main keyboard input?

I could also do this by importing the sequence into my MOXF, but the management and transfer of all those files to the MOXF is a bit daunting :frowning:

This would do it if the loopback ports are enabled in options. Loopback ports produce a one Cantabile engine clock cycle delay but when used the way you intend it shouldn’t be an issue.
