Use for Audio Signals - Not MIDI

Hi,
I am considering this software in place of a bunch of guitar pedals I currently use for my violin, which has a pickup on it. All of the videos/tutorials I see use keyboards/MIDI signals as input.
Can you use this with just an audio input (like an electric violin or guitar), and then use this to add or mix in VST effects like reverb, distortion, wah wah, etc. - everything a good violinist would want ???

Hi Alex,

Yep, you can. eg: Microphone → Flanger → Reverb would look like this:

Thanks for such as fast reply!!

So then, I guess most people who audio only input (not MIDI) use a separate audio interface, kind of like they do for DAWs? (Something like Presonus, Motu, Focusrite, etc. ???

Hi Alex,

I think it really depends - there’s all sorts of options out there. As far as Cantabile is concerned though as long as you have the appropriate ASIO driver is should work. MIDI can come from either the same device or a not.
