Would it be possible to update the active state via midi? Just like the “CTRL+U” shortcut, but with a binding target or something? This way, while I’m playing I could choose if I want to save my changes for next time
Hi Milo,
As far as I know this is not implemented on current Cantabile, however I can see where it would be nice to bind the controller switches to Cantabile’s Hotkeys (AS defined in Options>Hotkeys). Cool idea!
Wow, this would be awesome! Thanks!
Two new bindings in 3146 and later (available now)
Note that these bindings are also available in a rack for the rack states, so you can also create bindings to update the state of a rack. Unfortunately though you’d need to create a different binding in each rack for this to work.
Perhaps I should also add a binding to save the state of the currently on view rack or song.

This seems perfect, I can’t wait to try it!
For me, I don’t think it would be necessary to have a binding to update the currently viewed rack/song since there’s no way to switch between rack and song via midi. However, it could be more useful if there was an additional binding to open/view a specific rack, so you could then just click the “update state” button. That may be more complicated for nothing in the end, unless there’s some other benefit I haven’t thought of… I’m fine with adding the binding to every rack/song that needs it.
Thanks so much for this!
