This looks like it should be easy, but it’s not playing ball.
Created mono outs and routed from the player. Got zilch.
Any suggestions?

You may have to map the media file channels to your mono outs in the “Media File Properties” dialog (select media file in the playlist and click “Edit”):

Already did that.
Nothing appeared at the other end. 
Solved - just missed a vital routing.
