I’ve been using a touch screen for about 3 years now and it has always worked flawlessly. Last night at a gig the touch screen was hypersensitive, but only on Cantabile. Scrolling through the setlist as I normally would resulted in selecting a random song. Or my custom button for a tuner would open and close it instantly. I’d have to try tapping it several times to get it just right.
I didn’t have a lot of time to troubleshoot it, but I did try reboot, checking the cables and ports, changing cables to the touch screen…and then found something online regarding Windows touch screen calibration. When I tried that I found that my computer did not have that installed. I’ll troubleshoot more in the coming days but I’m just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem? Thanks!
Tom
On my Dell 2-1 Cantabile touch screen control was much improved after running the Windows touch screen calibration. Not sure why it would go out like that. Perhaps Windows control remained as normal because it’s built-in?
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I don’t know why it’s not installed, however it’s a NUC 12 it came without any bloatware, and if I recall correctly there have been a couple of windows apps that you would expect would be on there, but weren’t. Yesterday I saw a driver online for the calibration, it wasn’t an app though, I didn’t have much time, so I’m going to dig a little more and try to find the correct app or driver for my system. But oddly, I never had that problem before.
FWIW I couldn’t replicate the issue in my studio at all. Then I had a gig at the same location, no issue whatsoever. Same cables, same everything. Oh well, I’ll just keep monitoring it.
