When racks/plugins are selected, if you hit F2 you can choose a new name for it, to override the default plugin/rack name. Nifty feature! However, you can also hit F2 when an input route is selected, and whatever you type seems to be ignored and the route isn’t renamed (actually it’s stored behind the scenes, so if you hit F2 again, the text you entered comes up in the edit box).
Strange little quirk…
