Sometimes I use the metronome in songs. I’ve noticed that (it seems) on one particular plugin (UVI Workstation, running Ravenscourt piano (awesome, for those of you looking for a new piano VST!)), when I stop the metronome, it cuts the sound off…
Anybody have this, and is it down a setting somewhere?

Most likely reason is the plugin is synced to the hosts timing and when the master transport stops so does the plugin. Check the plugin docs for anything related to syncing to the host and try turning it off.

I did have a look in UVI workstation but couldn’t find any host sync parameters…

Hi,
I have the same problem with another plugin from MAGIX Software : Independence.
I’ve just contacted the support. This is their answer :
"It is not possible to de-activate synchronisation with the host. In most DAWs you are able to keep the playback going but simply turn the click off separately, without hitting “stopp” on the transport bar. "
I do not know if that will suit me. However maybe this solution will help someone else.
