Hi,
At long last I upgraded to Cantabile solo, and I’m having a great time exploring bindings. I came across an issue though;
When I’m using Soundtoys Effect Rack, parameters don’t seem to be exposed correctly. For instance, I have a preset that I made with four effects in effect rack. For the 3rd effect in the rack, Filterfreak 2, I’d like to create a binding for the “input gain” parameter. However, the parameters appear as “unassigned” in the binding assignment dialog, and doesn’t respond when clicked. If I use the VST2 version of EffectRack and start from the Soundtoys default (nothing in the rack), then add Filterfreak 2, then I can get that same parameter to map and bind correctly.
I would just use VST2 but if I recall my preset that has all my correct settings, the mapping stops working for some reason. I even tried rebuilding the rack in VST2, but as soon as it has to recall (eg, reloading the song) it’s broken again.
All this is a convoluted way of saying that somehow Cantabile doesn’t seem to be receiving the correct parameter info from Effectrack. I can’t tell if this issue is a Cantabile issue or a Soundtoys issue though. I’m using the most recent stable release of both on Windows 11. Is anyone else able to give this a try or suggest additional steps? I’d love to get this working…
Thanks!
