[Solved] Add port to plugin broken as of 4341

Bug report for @Brad: On Cantabile Performer build 4341 or later, the “add port” function for VST2 plugins no longer works correctly. (I assume the bug is probably related to the no-add-ports-to-media-players fix introduced in 4341.)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start Cantabile and add plugin “Trackspacer 2.5” VST2 by Wavesfactory. (I have x64 version 2.5.10.0 in case it matters.)
  2. Right-click on it and select “Properties…”, then select the “Audio Ports” tab, then click the “Add” button and select “Port”. The “Create Audio Port” popup window appears.
  3. Select the “Type” dropdown combo box and observe that no options appear. It should have options “Input” and “Output”, which is what Cantabile builds before 4341 show.
  4. If you create a port anyway without selecting any options, Cantabile creates an output port. There doesn’t seem to be any way to create an input port anymore (e.g., for side-chaining).

Thanks for reporting - I’ll get it fixed.
