Show Key Ranges Configured In MIDI Filters

Hi everyone,

I absolutely love the Key Range Indicators feature. It helps me staying organized and focused a lot.

But due to lack of proper knowledge I’ve always configured my key ranges through the “MIDI Filter” dialogue.
I actually never felt looking for something like a “MIDI route” dialogue, as all I needed was possible using those filters.

So, just a little redundant and maybe silly feature request, could there possibly an option to show any key ranges defined in the MIDI filters?

Thanks a lot
Sepp

EDIT:

Additionally I can’t find an option to create a pc keyboard shortcut to the MIDI route dialogue.
I’d gladly work with MIDI routes from now on instead of MIDI filters, but I also love to access the MIDI filter options via a custom shortcut (CTRL + E in my case).

Any hints on this?

Thank you all

Hi Sepp,

I would like this shortcut too. It is not currently available. Good idea!

Hi @SeppHaslinger

I prefer not to encourage use of splits and key ranges in MIDI filters because using routes is a safer/better/more controllable option so unless there’s more demand for it I don’t think showing key ranges for MIDI filters is worth the effort.

As for MIDI route settings short cut, logged it

Thanks, @brad, I see your point there. It absolutely makes sense now to work with MIDI routes.

The new shortcut is there and works! ( Ctrl+Shift+R) but has no label in the options, it says n/a

is there an entry for this in the edit process dropdown I am unaware of?

Doh! My bad. Missed fixing this for today’s build but will be fixed in 3195.
