Sending program change with first song state = 1

Hello,

I’m just wondering, I have inconsistent behavior while sending program change either with Song state = 1 or also by Song loading. With this I want the right presets to start a song.
Could this behavior be different when setlist preload all the songs or not ?

Can you explain how you change song and the states by program change?
What channel and what command and where to set this.

I use Song - On Load to set an initial sound for external keyboards. If l have a Song State, it’s the sound in State 1. I preload all my sets, it works fine. If you are using a Rack of VSTi, this can be a little more complicated, but surely works. I’ve started setting a rack for all my songs, and have most of them working off of the saved song files.

I don’t change the song or state by program changes, it’s the reverse, song loading or state change triggers some program changes for external keyboards.

Program changes are for external keyboards, I use also a shared rack, and the changes for this rack are correct. It happens only on some songs from the setlist. In the midi monitor I can see the wanted program change but also another program change which I cannot figure out where it’s coming from.
The strange thing it’s that it was working correctly, the only thing I’ve changed (intentionally !) is to activate the setlist’s preload option. This is why I wondered if it could change the way the events are triggered. But yesterday by rehearsal I removed the preloading and the problem stayed !
I must have a binding somewhere that is wrongly configured. I need to find it !!
