Usually I use the terms “Gain Slider” for the adjustment and “Level Meter” for the activity indicator. You’re right though that the binding points for the gain settings are grouped under “Master Levels”. I could rename this to “Master Gain”.
I would say something like
| master levels | . |
|---|---|
| Global | Input |
| Output | |
| Song | Input |
| Output |
To make sure I understand, in your number one screen grab the input and output directly under “Master levels” are the global levels which used to reside at the top? Because from what I gather the two Song Adj are of course song specific, similar to the input and output song levels that used to reside at the top of the respective input section and output section it was just above all the racks? Thanks!
Tom
Correct. Note that the sliders in the main toolbar still exist too so they’re available regardless of which side panel tab is active.
Correct. These new sliders in the side panel behave exactly the same as the sliders on the song’s “Input Ports” and “Output Ports” in the current release. In the new build those input/output ports sliders now control only the gain of routes connected directly to those objects (matching rack behaviour).
Great thanks Brad!
I’d prefer the last and i agree with the consistent behavior ![]()
