When binding a rack state selection to the rack color target, C3 crashes on state change. Happens every time.

Agree with your assessment of the binding causing a crash, it does it for me too. Just a thought though, could you do the same thing with this type of binding if you kept track of the index numbers on the racks you applied it too. It doesn’t crash and gets the job done if I understand your target goal. The rack that I named 1 is the 1st rack in the list of my test song so it is Rack #1.
You locate it inside the rack you want to control the color of when changing it’s state. (instead of a level above like the binding you showed)
I’ll have to try that. Does setting a rack color from inside the rack display the color outside the rack?
