Record feature in Cantabile 3

I was wondering if capturing the patch/preset from a plugin is going to be implemented in the recorder? Or am I missing something? I cannot see either where the setting can be made per song, nor where to turn on the feature if it exists but is off by default.

The recordings are most useful to me when I am just cruising through patches in a library and using auto-record, but the MIDI file has no patch/preset information in it from what I can see. (Using LinPlug’s Spectral synth as VST.)

This is not something currently planned for. The recorder is designed primarily for performance capture hence its separation from the song/session framework and it’s close association to input/output ports.

Certainly I’m open to improvements in this area, but I’ll gauge it on demand for it.
