Using Cantabile Lite here.
I have a VST called tcRegen, it’s a looper plugin.
I have my QWERTY KB “captured” and mapped to a MIDI port. I’m using “Z” to record the looper. I have “V” mapped to undo.
Those are MIDI 48 and 53.
As long as I hold Z, the looper records a layer. When I release, it stops that layer recording and starts playing the loop. Holding Z again records the next layer.
This works fine.
When I hit “V” to undo the last layer, the key is sent and released in the MIDI monitor, but seems to be “held” in the plugin.
Maybe I’m approaching this all wrong? It seems like a hack to have my KB emulate a keyboard and send notes over a side-channel to trigger some action within a VST. But it works for some of the actions within the VST; just not others. So I dunno.
Any help would be welcome.
