Pay $20 or more for the charity benefit package and get Cherry Audio’s Memory Mode, CA2600, PS-20, Voltage Modular Ignite package, and Galactic Reverb. Plus a bunch of worthless loops and a DAW I’ve never heard of. But the Cherry stuff is great and an absolute steal.
All of the Cherry synths are great but the PS-20 is just amazing in my book. Not the best presets in the world imo, but what you can do with those filters on your own is just insane.
The DAW that is included as part of this bundle, Acoustica Mixcraft 9 Studio, is actually quite good, gets generally positive reviews, and is an absolute steal for $20. I purchased the bundle with Mixcraft and some Cherry Audio plugins I already owned (except Voltage Modular and Galactic Reverb) and have been very happy with the DAW. I much prefer it to Cakewalk, which was my previous DAW. It doesn’t stand up against the big boys like Cubase, FL Studio, and Reason, but works well for what I need.
I bought it, too. In my case, I paid the $$ for Memorymode alone, since I was having troubles with Repro-5 and needed something with similar timbre to cover its bases. (The two synths they emulate use the same VCO + VCA chips, but different filters.) The best price I could find was $32USD at Thomann, so the bundle was hard to beat. I already own CA2600 and Galactic, but PS-20 was also an interesting grab.
I’ll have to check out Mixcraft 9 a bit. I’m personally a big fan of Cakewalk, warts and all. I’ve been using it for almost 25 years, and it’s kind of second nature. Plus, I have hundreds of songs in it. But if the learning curve for Mixcraft isn’t too steep, I might take the plunge.
BTW, for anyone considering it, I think this deal is almost over!
