Wow, I just increased RAM to 8gig and installed a SSD drive on my HP 2760P - speed difference is amazing!!!
SSD’s certainyl make for far faster project loading times, and the extra RAM makes light work of the modelling VSTi’s I have!

I did that too. What a difference! I also wrote a vbscript to turn off windows update when I play since this uses lots of resources. I wrote another vbscript to turn it back on, when done, then put a green and red shortcut on my desktop. Congrats on the upgrade!
Clever idea (on the scripts). I just turn off wi-fi but this of course does not stop it running in the background.
