Once Cantabile is "homebase" should I reset my controllers to defaults and use C3 bindings?

I’m thinking of resetting my controllers to their out of the box defaults and relying on Cantabile to map (bind) the default to whatever I want to control with that slider/knob. They’re now programmed just so I could get things to work earlier. My goal is to reduce complexity wherever I can. Have others done this?

I factory reset mine from the beginning and used C3 for mapping. If something on the keyboard controller got accidentally changed I could always do a quick factory rest and it would all come back working as far as C3 goes.
