Nice new free plugin - Blue Cat's Free Amp

Hi all,

just a quick heads-up: BlueCat recently released a free amp simulator plugin (based on their Destructor modeler) - three amp models (clean, classic drive, modern drive), supposedly no latency, and completely free: no registration, no newsletter…

Sounds like a no-brainer for our live arsenal - add some dirt to a solo synth or give a bit more growl to your drawbar organ…

I’ll give it a whirl these days and report back any findings…

What I’ve tried from BC in the past has been underwhelming. I’ll be interested to see what you think!

Thanks for the topic post and the link Torsten. I am trying this out too for organ grit, the daddy of this plug got very good reviews for it’s distortion Algo. A very workable plug so far (only a few days old) and very solid for the price! :grinning:
