Build 3561 now includes a new binding source “Engine - String Expression” which lets you setup a string expression using Cantabile’s built in variables and send the resulting string out as a sysex.
eg: you could report the current load to a display on a device with something like this:

hey @brad, when will this binding fire? Every time the string expression changes? What about song / rack load time, even if the expression hasn’t changed between songs?

Yes, whenever the string value changes.
If the string doesn’t change it shouldn’t fire.
