Millenium MPS 1000

I’m new here but can’t seem to find any e drummers. If I’m wrong, please chime in. My question is if anyone else is using the Millenium MPS 1000 drum module and have any highlights or horror stories they would like to share. I am considering purchasing . Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I use Cantabile for edrums. I converted a Ludwig Accent Combo 5 piece kit using UFO Drums crossbar piezo units. First I made my cymbals from Pintech practice cymbals but over time replaced them with Yamaha PCY-135 for hi-hat and PCY-150’s for ride and two crashes. Here’s some photos of when I did the conversion: Drum Conversion | Flickr. The center of the kit is the eDRUMin 10 which feeds into Superior Drummer 3 and then into a Behringer UMC202HD set at 64 buffers. I pretty much only use the “Legacy of Rock” kit by Eddie Kramer these days.

I use a Roland kit, and run it into GetGood drums. I rarely use the Roland module, but it’s there if I need it. I know nothing about NPS 1000, so I can’t speak to it’s positive and negative attributes. I suggest you try finding sites with forums about Millenium. Maybe the Millenium site itself.
Good Luck!

I just looked up the Millenium MPS-1000 on vdrums.com and only got one post which is a bit of a red flag. There may be better alternatives at $1000.

You would only need Cantabile if you wanted to trigger sounds on your computer instead of the MPS-1000 built-in sounds.

Please watch Justin Greenawalt on YouTube, his channel is 65 Drums. Almost every edrum kit question I’ve seen has been answered by him. Also the Edrum Workshop on YouTube is very good.

Yup, I love Justin. Been everywhere. Always looking for thet one perspective that allows me to pull the trigger and put everything in motion. I have too much to learn.
Thanks!
