Hi, after doing some reading it seems maybe it’s not appropriate use of the media player. But could I just use it to play five or six songs queued up between sets? I thought I had this figured out and set up songs that had just a media player and five songs all wav files queued up in a row. Then I discovered at my set that I didn’t quite understand this correctly, do I need to do something to make the second song in the list play after the first one is done? I watched the video but it was a bit confusing on this part.
Hi Scott and Welcome to the Forum!
To have auto playback of set lists in a media player you need to have bindings. Which version of Cantabile do you have installed?
Dave
Hi Dave, Performer 4.0 build 4203. I should add that I’m successfully playing MIDI files during songs the band is playing, to trigger light patterns and aux percussion - it works awesome! I used bindings to trigger patterns using MIDI keys, do I also need to link end of .wav files to the next ones in my break music? thank you for the help! Everything else is working great.
Hi Scott,
I’m glad it working well for you. If you are running a playback list for breaks you could have a separate song holding your playlist
and then add a binding like this to it to have it play one after the other. Start the media player on the top of the list. When it reaches the end of the last file in the list it returns to the first file but does not play it and waits for you to press play again to start the sequence of files playing back.

Outstanding, thank you so much!!!
I was in a rush to replace my FL Studio rig for live performances in my cover band, I ended up loading all the cantabile manuals into chat GPT and this issue was the only single one that it couldn’t figure out for me. For what it’s worth, it really helps people with that initial learning curve. Thank you for a killer product!
EDIT!- problem solved. I deleted my set break “songs” and started over, everything works as I hoped. thanks a ton for the help!
