Does anyone use a Macro device like the Stream Deck within Cantabile? If so, what macros do you find most handy?
I use the Touch Portal app for Android for macros of hot key functions. It works much better than I anticipated. It enables me to free up midi CCs for more plugin parameter control.
If you haven’t tried it, I suggest giving it a go. It works great for me!
I use a Stream Deck. In fact, I am almost done creating an app that sits between Cantabile and the Stream Deck to provide customized two-way communication between the two. For example, you can have the name of each song in your set list displayed on a key and press that key to switch to it. Or - each state in the current song to switch states. I plan to make it a paid app once it’s done. It’s been about 18 months in the making!
This is the first I have heard of Touch Portal. It sounds interesting. I see they have an SDK, so I will look into supporting Touch Portal in my Stream Deck app, as well.
