Locking a set list against changes

Hi @brad,

It’s happened at least a couple of times at gigs (most recently on Friday) where finger trouble (with touchscreens or laptop mouse pads) has led to set list order changes and/or deletion of songs (not sure exactly how I did that!).

Can I suggest a set list locking feature where you can’t change order or add/delete songs?

There’s this feature but it doesn’t affect the set-list. I hope @brad could see about adding a lock for just the set-list. It seems like a good addition.

In the mean time and there is a “Revert” function for the set list that restores any accidental changes made during a session that might help after an accidental reshuffle. :slight_smile:

Not really seeing the need for this as there are other options:

  • Use Edit Undo
  • Use File Revert
  • Use Pointer Lock
  • Mark the file as read-only in the file system - that’ll prevent Cantabile overwriting it.

Thanks both might look at pointer lock again.

I do think the undo and file revert options work, but only if I’d immediately known I’d made the mistake in the first place. No good in gig-pressured situations (which is what happened on Friday - I had 30 seconds to work out what was going on :)).
