I’ve noticed this for quite a while but never dug into it. Just curious as to the workings behind this behavior and if there’s a preferred method:
- I have a “Main Setlist”. If I set this List to load on Startup (in Tools), each time I startup it loads 77 plugins. (Setlists set to Preload, and the same song is set to load on startup for all 3 methods here)
- If I load a small, different setlist, then load the Main Setlist, just 41 plugins are loaded. (Both Preload, same song loads)
- If I set just 1 song to load on Startup and uncheck Load Setlist (in Tools), then after startup I load the Main Setlist, it loads 68 plugins. (Preload, same song loads)
What causes this, and does it affect performance? In other words, should I do method #2 if I want the best/most stable performance? The timeload for the same song is the same for all 3 methods, and I can’t say I’ve noticed any performance difference.
I’m on Build 4309. ( I also have a binding for the Song loaded on startup to reset the audio engine 5 secs. after startup, but I noticed the same behavior when that was disabled. ) Thanks!
