Korg Collection 2 crashes on exit

I’ve just upgraded my Korg KLC to version 2 and now C3 crashes on exit with 5 out of the 7 VSts
I’ve created a rack for each VST (PolySix, ARP Odyssey, MS-20, MDE-X, M1, Wavestation and MonoPoly) and put them all in to a song. I’ve tested shutting C3 down with each rack as the final one and found that the M1 and MonoPoly do NOT cause C3 to crash on exit. I’ve also tested both M1 , MonoPoly with another rack in a song and they do not cause the crash either but adding in PolySix does. Is anyone else seeing this or similar behaviour?

I’m getting “Exception context: dispatching op code 1 (effClose) to plugin Polysix” but could be any of the others mentioned above
Cheers,
Chris

I have not had any problems. I recently updated my Korg VSTs to the latest version. The only differences I see is that I have the Triton VST in addition to the ones you list, and I did not install the MS-20 or MDE-X ones.

Is everything 64-bit in your system? (I have eliminated all the 32-bit plugins and JBridge from my system and run fully 64-bit.) Just trying to think of anything that might be different…

Hi Roland, thanks. I’m running only 64 bit throughout although I do have J-Bridge installed which I’ll removed as not required any more. I’m on build 3643 of C3 and Windows 10

I am running the latest Cantabile build, and Windows 10 all 64 bit, and with me Korg Collection 2 works fine, so not sure what the issue is.

Same here, no problem.

No issues on my side either - M1 is one of my workhorses, with Triton getting increasing air-time…

Slightly off topic from the original post. When you Korg users switch to the new versions, did you have to completely redo all your rack states?

I had also been thinking about switching a couple of other plugins to 64 bit and was dreading having to redo all the racks. I know for switching from VST2 to VST3 you use the upgrade from the right click menu and it keeps the rack states working.

Hey Paul

I went to v2 Korg plugs as I was setting up a new computer. Transferred my files from the older computer, and they loaded up properly in version 2. No problems.

That basically indicates the plugin is throwing an exception when Cantabile is asking it to close itself down. Best bet would be to report this to the plugin dev.

Thanks @brad. Will keep trying to nail it down and do as you say. I have found that I had MDE-X in a rack rack with Syntorus and although it was switched off after having removed it I didn’t get the crash. Weird!
