Keyboard split: learn by keyboard input?

Is it possible to assign a keyboard split by note input on the keyboard?

Hi @So_Godly,

Yes:

  1. Open the MIDI Route settings for the route you want to split:
  2. Turn on Learn Mode
  3. Put the cursor in either Lowest/Highest note field
  4. Play a note.

You can also set transpose levels by putting focus in the transpose field and playing two notes, one after the other.

Works like a charm ! thx !

Can it be that this feature does not work on racks? When applied in song mode (not in rack mode) to the input ports?

A ‘midi route’ is applied to a midi source and determines how the midi will be delivered to the destination.
You have two ways to get that info to a rack:

  1. From the top level ‘input ports’
  2. From the input ports within a rack.

The split is recalled as it was saved, by any Song Part, so if you have a route from your master keyboard which splits at C3 for Part 1, that same route can be reprogrammed to split at G2 for the next part.
You can duplicate an input as many times as you like and send each route, simultaneously, to a different destination with its own settings.

It works on any MIDI route. If it’s not working, it’s possible you’ve got another MIDI route covering a larger range.
