You might have noticed I’ve been a bit absent lately but as of today I’m back 100% on Cantabile.
Where have I been? Well, I’ve just returned from an incredible 5-week holiday travelling around Europe. Before that I was pretty distracted by another side project for at least a month or so.
Anyway, the holiday is over, the side project is done, it’s 8am Monday morning, the jet lag’s mostly gone, I’ve cleared my desk, the cappuccino’s made, I’ve got The Killers rocking in my ears and I’m fired up to build something new for Cantabile.

I’d like to push for the “support for lead-in beats” feature in the “up next” list in trello. My idea of how that should work is to be triggered by any of the normal trigger mechanisms, use the time/rhythm/sound balance settings of the existing song’s master (either a media file or metronome), and when complete then automatically start the transport. That change would be especially useful me for using the cantabile media server - most of my songs have 4 lead in beats, but my videos are set to start with the music and therefore must now start at transport measure 2, not allowing me to use MTC mode.
