If I adjust gain via external controller, the gain button moves, but no altered file “star” appears next to the file name…however if I do the same thing using the mouse to move the slider as soon as the arrow touches the button the asterix appears showing a changed file
Hey Dennis,
Some changes were made to the rack save which may be what your seeing … new options installed recently
Open the rack, then File>Rack Options and you will see the new options
I don’t know if this is your problem but it sounds like it a lot. Good luck!
Dave
ahhh cool, thx Dave I’ll check that out!
EDIT: Just re-read your post - it is not racks. Not using racks at all.
Dennis,
Have you tried build 3213 Stable?
Dave
No, not as yet…I didn’t read any edits/updates to this particular process in the update notes since 3209 so I have not bothered tbh
Hi Dennis,
I think Dave was on the right lines earlier - racks have an option (File->Rack Options) to set what things will mark a rack as modified, and “Only on significant changes” will regard changes from an external controller as not needing to be saved (the idea is that that’s likely to be dynamic changes during a performance, rather than things you would actually save).
That’s for racks, but songs also have a similar option (File->Song Options) that works in the same way. So if you have that set to “Only on significant changes” or “On any change except via bindings”, changes from your MIDI controller won’t mark the song as modified and prompt for saving etc.
Neil
Thanks Neil - I’ll check that out." and that indeed fixed it. When choosing “any” event.
