First, I don’t know if it is really necessary, but deactivating the audio doesn’t make easier to know if your midi interfaces are running ok.
In the midi options I would prefer to have 2 lists, one list with the physical midi ports with the info connected/not connected, and another list with the midi ports as I they will be shown in the main window (i.e. MAIN KEYBOARD which can use a combination of ports from the first list)
I know the program does this already, but I think it isn’t very clear at first sight because you have to open the ports to see what physical ports are activated inside.
Another useful thing in the midi options would be to add the green dots in the ports like in the main window, to know if the ports are receiving any midi message as you play them.
