I would like to download a midi file, leave the suggested channels intact and play the song back on the Juno Roland unit. .

Cantabile has a media file player which can be used to play midi or audio files, speed them up, slow them down, and route to whichever plugins you like.
The media player is not available in the free Lite version. If you need the most powerful features of Cantabile, try the demo of the Solo or Performer editions.
