IK Multimedia has updated the following instruments/effects:
- Tonex to 1.9.2.
- SampleTank to 4.2.5.
- Pianoverse to 1.0.11.
It looks like there are bug fixes and improvements, no new features.

Thank you for that update, @cpaolo. It is perhaps coincidental that @brad recently submitted crash dumps to IKM for both SampleTank 4 and Pianoverse. I don’t see in the release notes any reference other than the standard “general reliability improvements”. Of course, one never hears back from IKM. Great products, lousy support.
Thanks for the tip! Very curious if it will solve the issues with Cantabile, I kind of gave up and am eliminating it from my songs. Didn’t expect any update either anymore.
Still crashes,
Joop,
I’m not a big Sampletank user. I bought the MAX v2 included in the Total Studio, but I only use it to load the Miroslav Philharmonic and the Sampletron.
I think their sample player is poorly coded. High buffer loads seem to be a trademark of IKM.
Aside from this “dark side of IKM,” I have no complaints about crashes. I don’t remember any crashes caused by an IK plug.
I’m phasing it out because of the crashes, Miroslav I use for some special cases as timpani. I do use the Yamaha C7 and Rhodes mark V. Can I send you a song+rack that will crash instantaneously when changing from C7 to Rhodes? Perhaps that can show that the problem at my side and I should spend a day in reinstalling .
Sure, I’ll check it out. I don’t have Rhodes mark V, though.
Edit: you mean the Electromagnatik Stage73 Rhodes in Sampletank?
My experience with IK so far has been very poor. I can’t install Pianoverse in a way that actually finds the sound files, and no one responds to my support requests. IK is a lost cause until the quality and support improve.**
Thanks,
it is this one: Stage 73 Mark V - An upgraded Rhodes piano with bright tone for SampleTank
I actually did do the reinstall on Sunday, possibly I had and issue with a duplicate folder. I need some more days to see if the issue returns, let you know.
@bpeterson1123 : can you help with this as you use Pianoverse? As I know IK you have to set the correct path to the samples and instruments in the settings, it is quite sensitive for wrong paths.
For me, Pianoverse always installs by default in the folder C:\Users\Public\Documents\IK Multimedia\Pianoverse. There is a “Rescan Content” option under Settings > Sound Content that may be useful if the Pianoverse files are installed in the correct location.
