I know this should be simple but I’m not having any luck. The Fishman software allows receiving a program change to select a preset. I’m currently trying this with the Fishman software open, but not embedded in C4… it’s standalone. I created a new midi out port for my interface’s output (Clarett 2 Pre). Nothing is connected to that output. Then I set Fishman to receive from that same output. And a binding sending the PC to a linked rack (FCB1010), which then routes to that same interface output.
I’ve tried some other configurations but nothing seems to work. I think the signal just isn’t being recognized by Fishman; the signal is definitely at the port. Thought I’d post here in case someone has done this.
I may try embedding the Fishman software into a linked rack, although I did try that a couple years ago and it was unstable. This is an updated version so maybe that will work. Any help appreciated!

I think you need a go between application like loopMIDI or loopbe to act as a virtual MIDI router between Cantabile and the Fishman app. So you would create a loopMIDI port and then create a Cantabile virtual port to it. In the Fishman app you select the loopMIDI port as your input in it’s MIDI config.
I think you may have to use a “virtualMIDI” to connect Cantabile to Fishman software. That is a WAG. I have a TriplePlay and seem to remember needing a virtual midi cable, but that’s been a while since I’ve used the Fishman software. From what you’re saying, it seems the midi is making out of Cantabile but not to the Fishman, so maybe you need a virtual cable to link the two.
FYI: I do not run any of the TriplePlay software except to setup the string levels and midi channels (always one channel per string in my case). Guitar sensor goes via bluetooth to the USB dongle which goes directly to Cantabile. MIDI output from TriplePlay is filtered, ranged, combined, etc. in Cantabile which then plays the VST to the AudioOut. If you get every guitar string on a channel, the pitch bends, and individual notes into Cantabile, you won’t need the TriplePlay software.
EDIT: I didn’t realize Dave was answering… But I agree with him. I just booted up my performance Laptop and TriplePlay software isn’t even installed anymore. TriplePlay Hardware to Cantabile is it.
Thanks to both of you. In fact, I was thinking about it last night and came to the same conclusion. But I also decided I want to try embedding the TP software into C4 as a linked rack first. I’m hoping the problems I had with TP have been fixed in the new version (along with new firmware). Not to get too far off topic but easteelreath you brought up an interesting point… I’ve always used FTP with the 6 channel/individual string output, filtering etc as you do. I’m now trying the mono/single channel version and on my more problematic plugins like piano it’s actually working better. Haven’t fully tested yet but I’m surprised it’s so good. Maybe the updates helped the tracking. Anyway, if that approach doesn’t work, I haven’t used it in years but I do have loop midi, I’ll give it a try.
Again, many thanks!
