[Help] newbie trying to get some sound playing!

Hello people, I apologize for still using Cantabile 2.0, but I hope I could get some help from you. I am using Varranger2 to control Cantabile (varranger outputs to loopmidi, cantabile inputs from loopmidi). I have set 4 racks, two racks are working perfectly: drums and accompaniment (in which I’m using kontakt 5 and hypercanvas VSTs. channels 9, 10 and 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12 respectively). Two other racks (both kontakt, one for left and one for right hand) channels 1, 3, 4 for left and “omni” for right. These same settings are applied to routing tables that route to their respective racks. The problem is that the right and left hand racks are working from Cantabile’s virtual keyboard, but not from clicking my MIDI keyboard, even though Varranger is reading my keyboard input and correctly using it for accompaniment. I would really appreciate the help. And I apologize again for any inconvenience.
ps: the audio engine I’ve selected is FL Studio ASIO
ps2: I’ve looked for solutions in the Cantabile guide, on Google and ChatGPT and couldn’t find any, I hope you can help me

Is your keyboard attached as an input to Cantabile (left column)? Is it routed to your racks for playback? I’m not a super-user, but these are the troubleshooting things l’d start with. I don’t think it’s a driver issue or anything. Have you checked the Monitor to see if the keyboard notes are hitting Cantabile? I start most troubleshooting with “check the cheap stuff, first”. Your cable must be working, so next is looking for “air gaps”.

I am using Loopmidi Port as input for Cantabile, which is the output route from Varranger2, which in turn gets input from my midi keyboard. Varranger does detect my activity but cantabile does not show it on its virtual keyboard. which I guess is fine because it’s not showing any activity when the drum rack is used and that is functional. the racks and midi routings are set to recieve Midi from loopmidi, I tried to change that to Any and stuff but it didn’t work. I don’t know why it’s a problem that only happerns with two racks while leaving two functional, even though they’re set pretty much the same way. Another note I’d like to add is that this used to be a problem that only affected left hand, and after moving the Kontakt instruments locations the right hand went mute as well (even though I did locate the instruments in their new location)
