Help Connecting Classic Cantabile DP-730 WN to Ableton

Hello Cantabile Community,

I recently purchased the Classic Cantabile DP-730 WN digital piano, and I’d like to use it as a MIDI controller for recording. However, I’m having trouble connecting it to my DAW (I’m currently using Ableton Live).

I’ve tried both a USB cable and a 5-pin DIN MIDI cable, but Ableton doesn’t seem to receive any signal from the piano.

Has anyone experienced this issue or found a solution? How can I successfully connect the piano to Ableton? Do I need to use the Cantabile software to make it work?

Hi there!

Short answer: you are in the wrong forum. The software “Cantabile” that this forum is about has nothing to do with the “Classic Cantabile” brand of electric pianos.

The software “Cantabile” won’t help you with your question on how to connect your piano with Ableton. You’ll need to contact the support of your piano manufacturer or the vendor where you bought it.
