Get machine name/hostname as a variable

Hi @brad,

I run a redundant setup (with a Playaudio1U) and connect my touchscreen to both of my machines. It would be helpful to know at-a-glance in the Cantabile toolbar which machine I am operating on the touchscreen.

Both machines have a different Windows theme, but during a gig Cantabile is maximised, and of course during a gig you’re focused on playing.

I’m sure there’s other suggestions from the community, but it would be easy to do this if we could get the hostname (or even arbitrary environment variables) as a cantabile variable (i.e. alongside these Variables - Cantabile - Software for Performing Musicians).

Not sure this is documented anywhere, but try this:

$(env("COMPUTERNAME"))
