Hello, I have a song with around 50 linked racks.
The song has hundreds of song states, which combines per song state up to 5-6 different linked racks.
I want to trigger each gain level of each rack of a song with my nanoKontrol2.
Here I use normally bindings for/of each rack via “create binding” functions. This works.
What I want to achieve is, that I use for each song individual gain level bindings to the used racks in a song.
So each song state should have different/individual gain bindings to the used racks.
I tried it so far, but I wasn’t successful
Is this possible? If yes, how I can generate individual bindings based on song states?
Hi Bladerunner, here is my offering …
To create individual bindings based on song states you use the states behaviors “Target” switch on each “On Load” binding and the rack gains will then be changeable for each song state … e.g
Song State One
Song State Two
Song State Three
etc … You simply change the Target gain values of the bindings for each song state after the bindings are configured. This method cuts way down on the clutter of separate bindings foe each song State. I hope this gives you some ideas.
Cheers,
Dave

Hi @dave_dore, many thanks.
But how can I create bindings to the 8 sliders of my midi nanoKONTROL 2 for each song state individual?
If I always would use ony up to 8 different racks in one song, I could create the bindings to the 8 nanoKONTROL slides.
But I use much more racks in different combinations various in each song state, where I need individual/different bindings for the 8 nanoKONTROL sliders for each song state.
Hi Bladerunner. What Dave suggests is that you make 8 bindings, one for each slider. Make sure to mark that target is controlled by the state, in the lower left window. Now, for each state, you can set the target for each slider for that particular state. When you change state, then the target for the slider also changes.
Hi @TorstenH, thanks a lot.
I didn’t work until now with the left settings window then creating bindings.
I solved my problem now by ticking “Target” AND “Enable”.
Now I can create individual gain slider bindings for each song state. Great!
Thanks again @dave_dore

Oh, I thought that all 8 bindings would always be enabled, so you wouldn’t need the tick in ‘enable’, but of course make sure that the bindings were indeed enabled :-). But glad it works now!
I didn’t think it would require “Enable” either @TorstenH but it isn’t harming anything as long as the binding remains enabled across the song states. Anyway I’m glad that Bladerunner got it sorted.
Cheers,
Dave
