Finding Soundbox

I have recently decided to try a couple of Soundbox libraries, so I downloaded the Soundbox sample player, which is free. I couldn’t get it to play connected directly via my laptop, even though the app is accessible. So I tried to load it into Cantabile, as this has cured a similar problem in the past. However, I cannot get Cantabile to locate the app, despite specifying the file location.

Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

This sounds somewhat like Kontakt. So you loaded the player in Cantabile. Did you load the libraries into the player? Or, do the libraries location have to be shown to the player?

Thanks, Corky. I do now have Soundbox up snd working as a stand alone app. But Cantabile simply cannot see the Soundbox player.

Although the app is a standard #.exe file, I am wondering if Soundbox is appearing as something other than a plug-in, and is therefore invisible to Cantabile. I shall try and contact their support group and see what they say.

Cantabile doesn’t see “.exe” files - it needs to be installed either as a VST2 plugin (.dll) or as a VST3 plugin (.vst3). AFAIK, Soundbox does allow installation as a plugin, separate from the .exe standalone

Thanks, Torsten. I will investigate!

Having investigated, I now have the vst version and it shows up fine! Thanks for the nudge!
